Yosemite Wedding at Sunrise | Abigail & Jonathan
This Yosemite wedding was very special. Our paths crossed last year when we took their engagement session photos at Taft Point and we clicked right away! This year, 2020, we were ready to be apart of their wedding as well when the world turned upside down. These two had to deal with their wedding being canceled two weeks before their wedding date.
They decided not to let that get in the way of their marriage, and had a tiny ceremony at their church and got married! To celebrate, we all got up at the crack of dawn on their original wedding day, and started driving to Yosemite at 4 am to catch that first light in the Valley! We started at Tunnel View because we didn’t want to miss that beautiful light ray lighting up the Park. Then we moved on to some of our other favorite spots! We finished our morning having breakfast at Valley View, overlooking El Cap and Bridalveil. It doesn’t get much better than that.
Even though everything they planned simply wasn’t happening anymore, Abi & Jonathan didn’t let that take away the joy of getting married. Love is what brings us all together, and this love must be celebrated. No matter what your wedding day looks like this year, the intention hasn’t changed and it never will.
We were so happy to be able to still celebrate with them. These two are the kind of people you feel grateful that your paths crossed. The kind of people you feel sad not knowing when you’ll see them again. Telling their story is an honor to us, and we’re grateful we’re able to be a small part of it.
