Fall of 2021 was incredibly busy and super special. Central and Northern California got some much-needed rain and cooler weather, which meant Glacier Point Road closed a couple of times throughout the months of October and November. This Yosemite Valley Wedding is proof that a plan B can exceed all expectations!
R&B – Yosemite Valley Wedding in November
With Glacier Point Road being closed for all of 2022 for rehabilitation, this felt like the perfect time to blog about this wedding.
Rebecca & Brian had booked a sunrise wedding with us about 5 months before their elopement date. Their first choice for a ceremony location was Glacier Point. But after an unseasonably cold October, Glacier Point Road closed due to a passing storm just a couple of days before their wedding day, so we had to change plans! And let me tell you about this Plan B of ours…
Honestly, this was one of the most beautiful days in Yosemite Valley that we’ve ever witnessed.
First of all, due to the huge amount of rain Yosemite got in October, the waterfalls came back, and they came back roaring! Fall is typically a dry season in the Park, but this wasn’t the case in 2021. Second of all, the fall colors were just exploding throughout Yosemite. The cloudy/foggy day made all of the colors pop so much! And last but not least, seeing the rolling fog in Yosemite Valley from up above during their first look – breathtaking.
I wanted to share highlights from their photos and video because I know so many couples are bummed out that Glacier Point Road will be closed in 2022. If that’s your case, hear me out – Yosemite Valley is the most beautiful Valley in the world. If your only elopement option is to have a Yosemite Valley Wedding, well… that’s a hell of an option! And we also can’t forget that Tioga Road will open sometime between late May and mid-June, which gives us a whole other area to explore!
I’m seriously so excited to share this Yosemite Valley Wedding with you guys! Scroll down and see for yourself how beautiful and special this Valley is.
We started the day at 5 AM to capture all of the getting ready moments at their Yosemite West Cabin.
Then we headed to one of the most epic viewpoints in Yosemite Valley for a first look & letter exchange
We made our way around Yosemite Valley until we arrived at the ceremony spot
These two had the most beautiful elopement with their closest friends and Yosemite Valley as their witness. Check out their video below!
