Shannon & Erick | Yosemite Taft Point Elopement
This Yosemite Elopement was very special, not only because it was our first session there since the park had closed down in March, but also because of these two beautiful people in the photos.
Shannon and Erick were the first people to ever hire us as professional photographers. I had just moved to Fresno from Brazil, and Stephan had just landed back in his hometown, after spending 11 years away. Needless to say, we both felt like foreigners here. We knew a handful of people, and if you ever started your own business, you probably know how referrals from friends and family are everything in the beginning!
As soon as the park opened back up this year, we got our reservations and made our way to Taft Point. They had never been there before and were amazed by the view! Shannon and Erick didn’t have a traditional wedding. But they were still able to celebrate their love and commitment to each other. In the end, that’s all that matters.
We had a blast that day and we’re so excited to share their gallery + highlight video with you guys!
People from all over the world come to California every year to visit this Park, especially in the summer. This year, not so much. Duo to COVID, Yosemite has been limiting the number of visitors per day, and I think we can all agree that International travel has taken a hit in 2020. Usually, at this time of the year, we would be avoiding Yosemite (yes, it gets THAT crowded that we don’t wanna go), but in the past two weeks, we have been there six times, and you know what? It’s been LOVELY. This might be the perfect year to visit Yosemite in the summer.
