Located in the heart of the Santa Cruz mountains, The Sequoia Retreat Center puts you in the midst of the towering California redwoods for a celebration nearly as iconic as you! They specialize in hosting smaller weddings that weave the surrounding nature into every detail. If wild and woodsy sounds like your kind of shindig, this might just be the place!

Details of the Grounds

With the Sequoia Retreat Center, a stay on the grounds is an unwritten necessity for a wedding. When you book out their spaces, you will spend the morning of your wedding being greeted by the sun as it comes up over the redwoods. Za Zen is the best option for this, giving you a one-bedroom cabin with plenty of space to get ready ahead of your ceremony.

Once it’s time to exchange your vows, Peace Park is the spot! This area is every bit as serene as its name might suggest, giving you a quiet meadow surrounded by sequoias and fern blooms.

Redwood Grove will be the spot for your cocktail hour, putting your guests in the middle of the giant trees as they share some drinks on the picnic tables. From there, it will be time for your reception. You will have two options for this. If you would prefer an indoor party, Las Alas Lodge is for you. With wooden walls and floor-to-ceiling windows, you get all of the views without any of the weather risks. Outside, you will have Pixie’s Garden, where your guests can gather around the patio and share drinks. The Sequoia Retreat Center is able to hold up to 150 guests.
