Rush Creek Lodge is the best way to take in Yosemite! Located right at the Highway 120 West Entrance, this gives you exceptional views as well as luxurious amenities. While there are a lot of adventures to be had here, we think it might just be one of the best places to get hitched! As Yosemite intimate wedding photographers, we love getting to work in beautiful lodges around the Park. Here is everything you can expect from a Rush Creek Lodge wedding!

34001 Highway 120, Groveland, California 95321
Before it served as a destination for adventurers, Rush Creek was earning its popularity as a Gold Rush destination. Located just 125 miles from the original gold discovery spot (Sutter’s Mill, for all you history lovers), miners found refuge here as they started to search for riches. When it came to finding gold, it was a bit of a bust, yielding little return for those who mined the land. But today, it lives on for people searching for a different kind of treasure!
When you choose Rush Creek Lodge for your wedding, your day can start inside their lodge rooms or villas, where you can get ready alongside your wedding party. These spaces will give you a private balcony where you can snap sunny pics showing off your completed look.
Then, it will be time for your wedding in Yosemite! Imagine trading your vows on a lookout while the trees tower above you. It feels secluded and serene while still giving you enough space to host up to 200 people.
Once it’s time for your cocktail hour, your guests can walk along the trail back up to the lodge, where they can enjoy drinks while exploring the views.
Then, it will be time for your reception. The venue gives you several options for this, including an outdoor patio as well as a nature-inspired event hall. Whether you want to avoid the weather or dance beneath the stars, Rush Creek Lodge has just the option!
As photographers, we are so completely in love with this spot! When you are looking for your photo ops, the lodge has plenty, but you will also be just steps away from Yosemite. Which means we can do portraits of you two at the venue, but also take a trip to the Park! C+J chose to have a sunrise Adventure Session in Yosemite the day after their wedding, and it was so worth it!

Rush Creek Lodge offers wedding packages that will take care of everything you could possibly need. They can even handle all of the food, offering delicious meals inspired by the surrounding land. You can also add on options like linens, flowers, a dance floor, and a DJ.
If you have been looking for the best spot for your Yosemite wedding, you might just fall in love with the Rush Creek Lodge wedding venue! This picture-perfect spot is ready to give you the day of your dreams.
Now that you have your venue, it’s time to find your photographers. As Yosemite intimate wedding photographers, we are obsessed with helping couples tell their love stories! We would love to have a conversation and tell you all about our style so you can decide if we’re a match. Hope to chat soon!
