Under Canvas Yosemite is located on 85 acres of forested land featuring unique glamping accommodations. Located just 10 minutes from the main Big Oak Flat entrance station to Yosemite National Park, with a designated YARTS transportation stop. You can find Under Canvas all over the country near other National Parks, but this is their very first California location. It is easily accessible from the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, and Northern California. Guests will sleep amongst towering California Black Oak and Ponderosa Pine forests and immerse themselves in nature.

When you choose Under Canvas Yosemite for your wedding, your day can start inside their luxury tents, where you can get ready and get some beautiful pictures. There’s also no shortage of beautiful spots to do your first look together! Because it’s so close to Yosemite National Park, you can also drive separately and do your first look in the Park if you’d rather.

Then, it will be time for your wedding in Yosemite! A lot of the wedding timelines we’ve created over the past 7+ years happen in several different locations. Many times, we start at a Lodge, head over to Yosemite, and end the day at a Reception Venue. Under Canvas is ideal for all of this, because:

It’s very photogenic for getting-ready pictures
It’s really close to Yosemite, so you can pop over for the ceremony and pictures
And it’s also an amazing spot to celebrate with our guests at the end of the day!

For your reception, this venue gives you several options, and we absolutely love their outdoor reception area. It’s surrounded by nature and secluded enough from the other guests. An amazing time and a great way to end the day celebrating with everyone you love!

Photography Opportunities

As photographers, we are in love with this spot! When you are looking for your photo ops, the lodge has plenty, but you will also be just steps away from Yosemite. Which means we can do portraits of you two at the venue, but also take a trip to the Park! J+K chose to have their first look and ceremony at Yosemite, bright and early. They also had a beautiful ceremony and a picnic with their guests at the Park. After that, everyone got to rest for a little bit until we met up again for their gorgeous reception at Under Canvas Yosemite.
