California Elopement on the Central Coast

The Central Coast of California is made by some of the most amazing coastal lines in the world. From Monterey to San Luis Obispo, there are so many amazing places to elope! Shelby & Albert’s wedding day wasn’t their Plan A, not even Plan B. But I think it’s safe to say that their California Elopement ended up being the most perfect Plan C wedding day possible!
They chose this beach in particular for two reasons: it was special to them, and it’s usually very empty. They wanted to elope in a meaningful place, but also not have to worry about crowds. The place they chose was perfect! Throughout the first looks, ceremony, family photos, cake cutting, and sunset pictures, I think I saw 5 other people total. It was the chill wedding day that they were dreaming of, and it was beautiful!
In between COVID and wildfires, these two had every reason to cancel/postpone their wedding. But there was NOTHING that could stop them from getting married on their special date – their 10 year anniversary. Throughout the planning process, and the constant change of location, Shelby told me one day “we’ll get married on the moon, but we will get married!”. And that just hit the spot on this crazy year. That’s the spirit in 2020!
After so many changes of plans, locations, and etc, Shelby & Albert ended up having the most perfect California Elopement on this beautiful cliff overlooking one of their favorite beaches. Their wedding was simply a fun, relaxed day with family.
