Honestly, we always wonder how we ended up together.
Stephan started skating in Fresno when he was 12 years old and got an audition for Disney On Ice when he was 23. He was offered a job and left for his first of 11 years of tour, in Japan.
I was born and raised in Rio, Brazil and somehow fell in love with figure skating at the age of 10, even though I had to practice on a tiny crowded rink at a mall because it was all we had. I did an audition when I was 18 and did not get a job. I decided to train harder for a whole year and try again. In 2012 I was offered a job two weeks after my audition and flew to Argentina to join the cast. And that’s when we met.
I won’t get into details and bore you, but, after 4 years of friendship, something changed. We joke that God saw two curly-haired people and said: “yup, that works”. Because we were both not looking to date anyone anytime soon, especially on tour!
In 2018, we decided we couldn’t live without each other. We retired from Disney On Ice, I moved to California and we had the most beautiful wedding day.
Our stories and cultures are very different. We grew up thousands of miles away from each other and, somehow, ended up married. Life is crazy and unpredictable, and that’s the beauty of it.
Stephan has been a photographer for 10 years now. What before was a hobby became a passion. And just like figure skating, he wanted to take this passion to the next level. His obsession with photography got me hooked and I’d say that we make a pretty good team, on and off the ice and behind a couple of cameras.
We are very passionate about good coffee, craft beer and brazilian cheese balls (aka pão de queijo)
We’re addicted to traveling and we’re pretty much always planning our next trip
Stephan has been to 73 countries. I have been to 47 (I’ll catch up one day, it’s fine)
I’m a master at finding cheap places for us to stay when we travel, so that we can spend all of our money scuba diving
We won’t care about the newest fancy restaurant in town, but will get way too excited about getting peanut butter filled pretzels at Trader Joe’s
Stephan is an amazing landscape photographer, you can check some of his Fine Art Print work at Stephan Alvin Photography
So you have a pretty big day coming up? Well, we can’t wait to hear more about it!
Your wedding day is not just a few hours at a venue. It’s not just completing tasks and traditions. It’s not just a schedule on paper. Your wedding day represents two stories that sometimes can be so different and yet, become one.
We want to capture the beauty of that day and create timeless images that will reflect the feeling of being there.
Get in touch so that we can meet in person or through a Skype video call, let’s chat!
