The sequoias in the Sierra Nevadas have become pretty iconic, and for good reason! These gorgeous and ancient trees have a way of reframing your mind while giving you an unforgettable backdrop. If you have been considering getting married amongst the trees but need the right spot to do it, we’re here to help you out! As Sequoia elopement photographers, we love working with clients to create weddings that are nearly as iconic as they are! Here is what you need to know about Sequoia National Park wedding locations!

The NPS loves working with couples to celebrate their weddings on public land, but they do have a few requirements. You will be allowed up to 2 hours for your outdoor wedding, and you won’t have guaranteed privacy. If you do choose to get married out here, you might have some onlookers as a result (or even some “beary” cute wedding crashers like Erin and Marc had – check out the gallery below).
We always recommend choosing off-hours, like sunsets or weekdays. You will also need a special-use permit ahead of time. All of this can be done through the official NPS website.
