This wedding venue in Santa Cruz, CA is pure magic. The Sequoia Retreat Center is nestled in a redwood forest and it was such a magical setting for Kayla & Adrian’s wedding.

Surrounded by family, friends, and nature, these two had a wedding day that was simply… them. They implemented some traditions and threw away whatever didn’t fit their vibe. I mean, just take a look at Kayla’s gorgeous black wedding dress!

They started the day each getting ready at their own cabins. And by the way, Sequoia Retreat Center has some amazing cabins where you can stay for a couple of days before or after the wedding.

Kayla had a first look with her dad, which was super special, and then it was time for the ceremony!

Throughout their gallery, you’ll see just how beautiful this venue is. It really gives you that “cabin in the woods” feeling.

Their reception was also so relaxed and laid back. It definitely didn’t feel like one of those weddings where you’re rushing from one task to another.

I absolutely loved every little detail that, again, just fit their vibe perfectly!

A Sequoia Retreat Center Wedding

If you’ve been around our website you know we work a LOT outdoors. National Parks, State Parks, basically anywhere you find nature. Big mountains, big trees, you name it, we love it. But sometimes these places are not practical for any wedding that has more than 20 people.

In fact, a lot of times, weddings this size aren’t even allowed in some of these locations.

So to find a venue that can give you privacy, but also amazing views is a huge plus!
